What the site is

Educational calculators built by a software engineer. They are not investment, tax, legal or medical advice. Each tool states its assumptions, explains its formula in plain English and is tested against worked examples computed independently of the site's own code. You can read how that works on the methodology page.

What the site is not

  • It does not recommend, rank or sell any fund, stock, policy or product.
  • It does not predict market returns. Any return you see is an assumption you can change.
  • It does not collect what you type. Calculations run in your browser; see the privacy page.

How the site is paid for

At the moment it is not: there are no ads, sponsorships or affiliate links. If that changes, ads will be clearly labelled, kept away from calculator inputs and results, and this page and the disclaimer will say so.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, please report it. Fixes are logged in each tool's changelog; numbers are never changed silently.
